“They are very well-organized, and they are a
well-thought-out group of individuals who are going to make sure their concerns
are heard”

For more than 25 years, the non-partisan Maryland League of Conservation Voters has served as the independent political voice for the environment. We advocate for sound conservation policies, promote environmentally responsible candidates, and hold individual elected officials accountable through our scorecards and reports.
On June 12, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters released our 2008 General Assembly Scorecard, which evaluates the environmental records for every one of our state Senators and Delegates. View the scorecard by clicking on the "scorecard" tab below our banner at the top of the screen.
This scorecard is all about YOU, the conservation voter, and is intended to give you the "real score" on your legislators at a time when it seems everyone claims to be an environmentalist. Are they representing YOUR voice or not? Take a look at your legislators' score below to see if their dedication to protecting the environment matches YOUR own.
We hope you will use this scorecard as a tool, and help us spread the word, because the more often we let our elected officials know that we are watching--and--counting their votes on environmental issues, the more power we have as conservationists.
